Senior Consultant & Engineer

Dalila co-founded Jade Acoustics Inc. after gaining experience in the field of acoustics prior to establishing the company.  Her expertise in the field is well known in the industry and she is often involved with major projects at the Ontario Land Tribunal (OLT) acting as an expert witness in noise and vibration control. Dalila has worked with government agencies, land developers, business groups and law firms to assist in various capacities with the understanding of noise and vibration control criteria, the correct implementation of such criteria and navigating the often complex world of land-use planning.  Dalila routinely works with major organizations in the specific service of providing peer reviews, offering technical and land-use planning information that is critical to the respective project. Dalila's extensive work experience extends to projects/developments across Canada and she also sits on the executive of the Board of Directors for the Canadian Acoustical Association (CAA).

Mike joined the team at Jade Acoustics in 2015 and has had a crucial role in preparing environmental noise and vibration reports for a diverse field of clients.  His expertise also extends to architectural building design and noise and vibration control for mechanical equipment. Mike has completed on-site measurements related to acoustic audits, NC testing and reverberation time measurements as well as other "proof of performance" measurements. He is well versed in using state-of-the-art software programs to assess noise and vibration problems and to find solutions.  Mike has an excellent understanding of the land-use approval process and the compatibility concerns between noise sources and the noise sensitive receptors that those noise sources may impact.

Intermediate Consultant & Engineer

James took advantage of his University internship program to gain knowledge in the field of acoustics.  He then joined the team at Jade Acoustics in 2018 and has since expanded his knowledge base considerably. James has worked on numerous high-rise building projects, assessing the building design prior to construction, during construction and evaluating the final project at the completion stage. Through this experience, James often works with clients, mechanical engineers and contractors and as well as architects to ensure the best practice acoustical designs are implemented and that applicable criteria is being achieved. He also routinely prepares environmental noise and vibration reports for residential, commercial and industrial clients. Through on-site building inspections, related sound measurement work and Impact Isolation Class (IIC) testing, James acquired a skill set that blends real world experience along with knowledge of the on-paper design.
